Adele took the British public by storm with her breath-taking performance of Someone Like You at The Brits.
Since that moment her music has been unstoppable, with her album 21 lasting a record breaking ten weeks at number one.
But last Sunday saw 21 knocked off of its thrown by music legends Foo Fighters. Their latest album, Wasting Light, now holds the number one spot. The question is- for how long?
The mid-week chart saw Adele scrabble back to the number one position, reported BBC Radio One. With a few days until the number one album is revealed, who will come up trumps?
Wasting Light is the seventh album from Foo Fighters, fronted by official Godlike Genius Dave Grohl.
The album is a journey back to their oldest and possibly greatest music. White Limo in particular is reminiscent of The Colour and the Shape with scathing vocals and beautifully heavy guitar. Bring on the live tour!
As for Adele, her album is equally flawless. 21 sees Adele’s sound evolve into a soulful and emotive climax. From Rolling in the Deep to piano number Turning Tables this album weaves its way around your heart and into your soul.
Both albums are brimming with musical brilliance, so vote below for your winner.
Four days remain until the chart announcement on Sunday April 24.
